Malama Pono Health Services also offers a full range of services on the island’s West Side at the Waimea Neighborhood Center, a facility owned by the Hawaii Department of Health. This expansion promotes greater accessibility to one of the geographically remote areas of the island and reaches a population that has been adversely affected by high rates of unplanned teen pregnancy and low contraceptive use (HI Health Matters 2018). Services are provided on the last Tuesday of each month.
